Carol Services

Thanks to Drew Elliot for keeping the original 78rpm records of the 1963 Carol Service, which we've had copied as .MP3 files that you can listen to on your computer or download. There are recordings of four carols. The service was held on 17 December 1963 at St Mary's Parish Church, Cheadle. The organist was Keith Halstead, the choral director was, of course, W Ifor Jones, and the recordist was J M Brown. This .MP3 file is about 4MB in size.

Thanks to Dafydd Bullock for giving us a recording of the whole of the 1969 Carol Service which you can listen to on your computer or download. It runs for 40 minutes. This .MP3 file is large, at about 14MB in size, and so it will take some time to download.
